My Week Through My Phone/Instagram

I thought I would get back to my "My Week" and I always loved doing these posts and well I love reading them too (duhhh). Firstly starting with my Instagram and then my phone.

Casualty Bound // Instagram
So yes, we ended up getting a phone call on Monday morning to say that the monkey that is CB fell and bumped his head in school. Being me and knowing what he is like I knew it wasn't going to be a pretty sight and I was right! In this case though I didn't like being right. He ended up needing two stitches and was relatively ok on the behaviour side but he is only a little so a little temper was thrown but hey, I would have done the same too. The second photo is the same day a few hours later before I headed to my night class. Some auntie/nephew time cheered him right up :)

Bullying // Instagram
Don't bully. Don't feel like you can't talk to someone. Stand up to bullying. FULL STOP. Been there, have the tshirt and it is just so horrible.

Sleepy Poopay // Instagram
I was sent this by the boy on Saturday morning of the puppy. Anytime he is near sun he conks out and this morning was no different other than him falling asleep sitting up. Too cute.

Sunday Afternoon Treat // Phone
Cuppa tea and this delicious Pain Au Chocolat. Mmmmm! Lidl you have become a Sunday treat regular now!

Merry Christmas You Filthy Animal // Phone
One of my most favourite films of all time. I will watch this film all year round because I just love it!

Bedtime Cuddles // Phone
Me and CB having bedtime cuddles. He is such a cutie.

Building A Haunted Gingerbread House // Phone
So this turned out a bit of a sham in terms of the icing but I loved building it and decorating it. I love Halloween and can't get enough of it really. I really wish we celebrated Halloween in the UK like they do in the USA. I would be in my element over there.

New Candles // Phone
I have a candle obsession. Like completely and I will admit it! I picked up this Airwick Pearl Candle in Mulberry and also I got these two candles from Lilyflame in Apply and Spook. I kind of regret the Spook scent but I will give it a go :/

New Nails // Phone
I got my infills done on my nails on Friday after my physio appointment. I love natural and I kept them like this because before I head to London I will get them done a lovely berry colour. The growth isn't as noticeable with natural colour than a dark colour.

Last but not least // Phone
It's cuppa tea timeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Autumn/Winter Lust List 2014

Ok so it might be a little early mentioning the C word now but in all honesty, it is only a couple of months away. I thought I would put together a little wishlist for myself of things I have been lusting after. I had previously called this a Chris*cough* wishlist. It isn't even for other people to get ideas - it's for myself so I remember what I really want and then I can look back at it, but I also thought I would share it with you lovely folk.
I am heading to London next month, so knowing me, Duty Free will be hit up and also of course my love of Bond Street will take over.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Five Color Eyeshadow Palette in Currant Desire
I actually tried this on in work the other day and I absolutely loveeeeee it! The colours are my autumn must have colours for my eyes (when I put eyeshadow on - cause these peepers are very sensitive). The pigment of these eyeshadows are so good and I really love that the excess doesn't fall down loads on to your face. The size of each shadow is so generous and I know that they would last for so long.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye
This is an everyday item for me but I had quite a few samples of it so I am living off them. I therefore will soon enough need a proper one and I adore this stuff. The texture, the results, the packaging. The price not so much but at the same time, when it works for me, I can't complain and neither can my sensitive eyes as they love this stuff.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium EDP
Oh my god! This stuff isn't usually what I would wear aroumd Autumn/Winter but it somehow fits in. It is very pleasing to the eye, I love the packaging. It is very festive I think. I always loved Belle D'Opium but when they got rid, I didn't like the original Opium in it's place. But this is a different story. I absolutely love it.

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Candle
Need.. want.. gotta have it! This smell is divine. I haven't smelt the candle of this but the cologne is beautiful! Its quite unisex however I just love it. Who woulsn't want some Jo Malone making your room smell divine over the festive period. Are the candles as good as I hope they could be? Let me know in the comments. I would love to hear your views.

Clarins Tonic Body Balm
Anyone in work knows how much I love the Clarins products with essential oils. Their Body Polisher and Bath & Shower Tonic are just amazing! I was having such a rubbish week last week and I got in to my shower and used both of these products. When I got out of the shower my only wish was that I had a lotion of some sort to apply that smelt the same. This is were the Tonic Body Balm comes in. The smell sells it for me straight away. It is just so relaxing and when I smell it I instantly close my eyes and take a big deep breath.

I am sure I will have more of a list as the weeks go on. I can dream :-)

Camping Beauty Essentials

I don't know about you but I love camping. It has been a long long time since I have been camping and the more I think about it it has probably been about 9 years since. I used to go a couple times every year from I was a young thing until around 12 years old with my neighbours. I would have went away on my summer holidays foreign for two weeks and then back to Ireland and off camping to Castlewellan Forest Park (above). Because I was so young, all I had to worry about was my clothes (which my best friend Joanne helped me organise) and my toothbrush.

Now, it is a completely different ball game as I am older now and so much more independent. I have seen people talking about hauling their whole make up bag with them while camping but I really think there is no point as after all, your completely embracing the outdoors. Taking my whole make up bag with different types of foundations, eye shadow palettes, 4 different types of mascara etc. is just so much hassle. Today, I am going to share with you my beauty must haves to take with me on my camping trips.

1. Clinique 3 Step Anti Blemish Solutions
My skin has always been a complete and utter pain in my ass so trying to find something that will help it has been a tough. I started to use these products and I absolutely love them. I don't have oily skin really, maybe the odd time around my t-zone but other than that my skin is as dry as a bone. I love the cleansing wash as it doesn't dry my skin out and it makes my skin feel so clean! The clarifying lotion is great also, and I can really see the difference in the pores on my nose which is one of the most detested areas of my skin. If I have any broken skin on my face it does sting slightly using this but it bearable. I don't use the anti blemish moisturiser as I am currently using a moisturiser that agrees with my skin and i love it.

2. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex
I received a luxury sample of this in a GWP and I fell in love with it straight away. I absolutely adore the texture of this product and I have definitely noticed a difference under my eyes where I suffer with dark circles. The gel-balm like texture feels so nourishing on my eye area and one thing I love is that it does not irritate my eyes due to their sensitivity. Being a luxury sample it is so handy as a travel size and you really only need a small amount so it lasts ages.

3. Garnier Moisture Match for Dry to Very Dry Skin
I will be very honest. I picked this moisturiser up on a whim as I was spending most of the time of a week down at my Granda's wake and funeral and I had no stuff with me so I picked this up in a local chemist and used it as my moisturiser. I absolutely love this. I wish that I had found it before hand as it just nourishes my skin. I usually use Lancome's Genefique Nutrics but I just wasn't for carrying a big jar around with me. I am now on my second tube of this moisturiser and I will continue using it. Such a nourishing cream and handy to carry in the tube.

4. Johnsons Face Care Facial Cleansing Wipes
My go to product for removing my make up! My holy grail. I don't care admitting to this product. Yes I work for a make up and skin care brand but I absolutely love these wipes and my skin loves them too. Quick solution and I can then cleanse my skin further using my face wash.

5. Bourjois CC Cream
I bought this product on a whim as I had seen so many bloggers raving about this so I thought - hey, why not! I bought a shade that is a bit yellow toned for my skin, but once my neck is bronzed in it is nice and gives a bit of colour meaning I have no need to bronze any of my face. With SPF in it also, I really can't complain as my skin is protected.

6. Lancome Blush Subtil 011
I was advised that due to the slight redness in my skin, I should not be using a pink blusher. I tried out this brown blusher and I absolutely adore it! I don't think I will ever buy another shade of Lancome blusher other than the shade 011 Brun Roche. I love this shade and it is such a lovely natural colour.

7. Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara
My mum asked me to get a waterproof mascara for the time around my Granda's funeral and I picked up this one. I don't usually wear waterproof mascara but this one is good and isn't really hard to take off. I love also that it has a different brush for the lower lashes as I sometimes find that normal mascara brushes are too big for the lower eye area.

8. Estee Lauder Automatic Brow Pencil
I used to use the Double Wear Brow Pencil from Estee Lauder but when I figured out at a later stage that it wasn't the refillable one I changed to this one. After all, it will save me money in the end. At one end is the pencil and the other a brush to help shape your brows. Quick, simple and job done.

9. Maybelline Baby Lips
Hydrating and tinted.. what more could a girl want from a lip balm. Well that is exactly what these little beaut's do. They aren't sticky or greasy and they are just so perfect for the great outdoors. I love the Cherry Me shade (above) and I am really looking forward to the new Electro shades coming out.

10. Clarins Tonic Bath & Shower Concentrate
I absolutely love this product. Essential oils will completely twist my arm and they really do make me relax myself. I am piled up full of stress and this together with my back injury has landed me with unbelievably sore muscles and the majority of the times I am unable to relieve it. This helps a good bit and allows me to relax with the scents. After a day of walking, cycling and playing about, this lovely shower concentrate allows me to relax, if even for 10mins and makes me feel better.

11. Natural Collection Pressed Powder
I see people buying dear powders for their make up everyday and I just don't want to ever make the mistake of buying one and then I don't like it. I bought this from the Natural Collection stand for £1.99 in the shade warm and I absolutely love it. I don't think I will even change from this brand. This is perfect for days which are warm and they are making me feel a tad oily-ish, dabbing this over my make up just sets it perfectly.

12. Soap & Glory Hand Maid Antibacterial Gel
This is a must have while camping. Actually, this is a must have in my hand bag every day just in case. I love the smell of this and it doesn't overly dry my hands out. It is great as well for when my nieces and nephews need there hands freshened up while out on bike rides and after coming from the toilet block after washing their hands.

13. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24Hr
My go to foundation. I don't wear this during the day camping because it would just be too much. We tend to go down to the town one of the nights, take a break from the BBQ and head for a nice meal to Maginn's in Castlewellan. It is so handy as we can literally take a little walk and we are out of the forest park and at the restaurant. I take a small dramming bottle from our counter to carry it. If you ever need a sample or a little dramming of foundation to take on your travels, most BA's are so helpful and will have no problem helping you out.

14. Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer
I absolutely love this bronzer. The size of it is just out of this world and I was a bit shocked at the price but when I really thought about it and worked it out it was well worth it. I bought this when it cost £30 for 21g. At that time I was using the Urban Decay bronzer which cost £20 for 7g. From February to now, I use this nearly every day and there isn't even the slightest bit of wear and tear in the bronzer. It is big, but very lightweight and the mirror is great for doing my make up. Sorted!

Do you have any essentials you take camping with you, or do you go camping?
