BBB/LIB Collab Review #1 | Too Faced "Better Than Sex" Mascara

When it comes to mascara, I can, without a doubt be one of the most fusiest people to deal with. If I approach a make up counter looking at mascaras, I always tell the B.A that I am ok and just having a look (unless I really really need help). I do this because...
1. I am OK!
2. I'm having a look.
3. Leave me to my own devices 'cause I am a fussy mare and you would get seriously pissed with me.

I think being a BA has me like this anyways. I will always offer my help to my guests but I am not a pushy person. I make my guests feel comfortable enough that they can approach me in the end if and when they need to. Don't get me wrong, I can sense when my customers are a bit wary of a product or if they need a hand and I am always there to help and give my honest advice and opinion.

Anyways, back to the post eh .. enough rambling from me!

If you follow me on instagram you will know that a couple of weeks ago, I received my Latest In Beauty "The Dream Box" created by the British Beauty Blogger. You can find all of her links at the end of this post.

So what does the British Beauty Blogger say about this mascara?
"Feedback on this mascara has been off the scale! I wantedto make sure that the BBB/LIB dream box contained a mascara that goes above and beyond. It's the deepest carbon black with a collagen infused formula that will give ou the thickest, darkest lashes ever! Oh, and it's paraben free."

When I read the name of this mascara I was a little taken aback and shocked but it definitely does make you blush. The reason I was taken aback is because now.. so many people are getting in to make up very young and I mean 9year old girls are intrigued by make up and 13/14year old girls are wearing a little to school so to have the name Better Than Sex just shocked me a bit. If someone randomly asks me what type of mascara I ahve on I know some people I will tell the actual name too - others I will say oh its by Too faced because I just can't tell them the full name.

Getting past the name of this brush .. OMG! (Yes I did just say O-M-G!). My Lancome Hypnose Mascara has definitely been a HOLY GRAIL item for me but once I tried this I am now like hmmmmmm..? whats going on! I am absolutely loving this mascara! The fact that it opens up my eyes completely. It grabs every lash and this may sound funny but I find that it makes eyes look very seductive!

As I usually use and only like big even-ish brushes, for me even though this is big.. It is an hourglass shaped brush. Something different that I didn't think I would like but it really does lift your lashes up and fan them out to give such beautiful lashes! They do not clump, stick together and are given length, curl and volume that I always dreammmmmm about! I do have loads of mascara to get myself through but I definitely would repurchase this when I need a new mascara whenever that may be.

I would definitely recommend this mascara - not overly thrilled with the name as I just think it is a bit strange but yes!.. I definitely love it.
Do you like it or have you tried it?

Lush New Charity Pot

I don't get to go in to Lush that often as when I am in town I am working and then I head on home. This particular day, myself and G had my little niece Skye in to town to pick up her bracelet for her 9th birthday (can't believe how big they all arr getting). We picked up her gorgeous Nomination bracelet and then headed over to the next shopping centre were Lush was. I took Skye in and let her pick a bath bomb for herself. She ended up picking up one of my favourites .. The DragonEgg. She loved the thought of the confetti all over the bath.

I get a bit anxious about trying new skin and body care at the moment as I am going through a rough patch at the minute eith products at the moment. i had previosulyy taken a reaction to the Sugar Scrub from Lush and it put me off slightly about other skin/bodycare products. I decided against it as poor G was starting to get a sore head with all the different smells and mine was getting there as I had a sore head on and off all day. It wasn't until I was at the till that I spotted this little tub.

The charity pot in mini tubs sat in a bowl/jar with a big full size tub beside it. Of course I tried a bit and so did G. I rubbed a bit on my hand but I definitely put too much on. I decided on a whim to buy the small 10g tub at £1.00 to try this first and I have now found that this is so handy to carry in my handbag for my dry patches on my arm and I can just take it out in work and use it. It takes up no space or weight in my bag and I just love it! Just look at that lovely consistency below.. A little really does go a long way and the tin tub that the product is in is very secure so it is great to keep in your handbag. I think I will definitely repurchase both this size and maybe the next size up.

What do Lush say about the New Charity Pot?
"Now in a self-preserving, rebalanced formula, this is an all-round body lotion that does a lot of good - and not just to your skin.
A rich and generous cream that not only helps your skin to look its best, but also adds a glow to the small grassroots charities we work with, as all proceeds go directly to them.
With every purchase of Charity Pot, we donate 100% of the price (minus the taxes) to small, grassroots organisations that could use the helping hand to continue the incredible work that they do. Charity Pot supports organisations that align with our ethics in the areas of environmental conservation, animal welfare and human rights."

I'm loving it!

Clarins GWP

Ok I think we can all agree that being a sucker for Gift With purchase is the norm .. yes, no, maybe so?! Well for me I'm a big sucker for a wee GWP but this one I actually bought things that I need or will use - shock there. The way this GWP worked like most was the purcahse of two or more products but the good thing was that it didn't have to be specifically 'one to be skincare' or anything like that.
So I decided to pick up my trusty concealer and my new love of lip balm.

Firstly, the Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm with essential rose wax. I first used this when I had gotten a sample from a counter one day as I was looking for something that would really moisturise and protect my dry dry lips and after my first application of this product - oh wow! It is amazing and I instantly felt the moisture in my lips peak and I knew it could only get better. I have had a few more sample sizes for travelling but I went for the full size purely because I know it works.

The next thing I got was this little beaut of concealer - the Instant Concealer. I first bought this for going out for G's birthday because my face had taken an awful reaction to something and I had a really bad 'thing' down my face. Literally I could have done dot-to-dot down one side of my face. I went in to work to one of my trusted colleagues and asked her from any brands - did she know something that would cover up the disaster that was happening on my face. She showed me this which actually shockingly covered it up and straight away I just said .. GIVE ME IT! I use shade two which is perfect match for my skin tone with my foundation. A little goes a long way and after a bit of a disaster with my current one (don't ask) I decided to pick this up as I will probably need one in a few weeks and it was getting me my gift.

When I had selected my two products I wanted to purchase, I then had to pick 3 items as part of my free gift with a lovely summery pink and orange tote bag.
The first item I picked was the Hand and Nail Treatment Cream. This is so handy for keeping in your handbag and it really is a great hand cream.
The second item I picked was the Moisture-Rich Body Lotion. I bought my Mummy the full size of this for Mothers Day and it is lovely and nourishing for the skin. I actually had a quite big dry patch on my arm the other day in work and I applied some of this on it and voila! It helped straight away and felt a lot better than the dry brillo pad patch that was on my arm. This will be shared out between Mummy and myself.
The third and final item I picked was the Tonic Bath & Shower Concentrate with essential oils. This stuff smelt divine and I couldn't find anything else I could pick so this was picked for my Mummy as she would take baths more than me and I thought it would be nice for her.

Overall, I really loved this GWP and I know for a fact that all these goodies will be used! Love it! Did anyone else purchase during the Clarins GWP? If not, what would you have treated yourself too to get the free gift?

Origins Sensory Therapy | Review

For the past 2 and a half years I have probably lost half that time in hours of sleep. This has resulted in me becoming rundown, feeling ill, having an overall bitchy attitude and absolutely exhausted. My headaches have worsened and oh I could really go on and on and on.. But I won't.. I am going to tell you about this little fellow.

Origins Sensory Therapy Peace of Mind is described as a mind clearing formula which is created to relax and help you destress. Because of the headaches I suffer from I thought to myself hey, what the hell lets try it out. For a small enough bottle I thought £13 was asking for it a bit but once I started to use it the price went out of my head - or rather I was saying wow for only £13.

You guessed it, after the first couple of uses I absolutely loved this. As instructed by the girl on the girl in Debenhams covering the Origins counter, I applied it to my fingers, tapped my fingers along my forehead, rubbed my temples, behind my earlobes and on the back of my neck and then inhaled the scent from my hands. This will leave a tingling sensation breaking down tension, pressure and tightness. I love the cooling sensation that this left on my forehead, especially when I get the feeling I'm burning up.

Peace of Mind® has stress relieving aromas created by the mix of essential oils and ingredeints such as rose water, peppermint water, rosemary leaf water, basil oil, eucalyptus oil and sweet almond oil. These ingredients added together will allow you to experience a number of well known scents and definitely do help to relax you.

How great is is that Origins have created this product without parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA, petrolatum, paraffin, DEA, synthetic color, synthetic fragrance or animal ingredients. The fact that they do not test on animals is a big plus and they keep their products as natural as possible.

I really loved this product and the consistency of it also. It is creamy but at the same time it is quite thin. I keep this in my hand bag and the fact that the neck of the bottle has a little piece that stops the pump being pushed when it shouldn't is genius. I need this big time as I have so much stuff in my handbag and something is bound to pump the bottle all over my freaking bag .. but it can'tttttttttttttttttt!
You can find this product at any Origins counter and will set you up £13.00. I really don't think that this is above board as I find it is worth every penny. Has anyone else tried this?
